Lake June-in-Winter Scrub State Park View this post on Instagram First stop, to walk the dog – Lake June-in-Winter Scrub State Park. It's near Lake Placid (there are a LOT of lakes in Florida), and you can see the old Lake Placid Tower across the water. There's a wide open, grassy walk down to a tiny "beach", and some trails that didn't look terribly shaded. I thought the sun would do us in, but it turns out Lake J-i-W had something I'd been missing this trip, without truly appreciating their absence. Mosquitoes. They favoured the pup, so I rescued us both by cutting short our meander, and we headed to town, instead. • • @fl.stateparks #lakejuneinwinter #floridascrub #lakeviews #mosquitoes @visitsebring #lakeplacid #takeashorthike #walkthedog #LoveFL #butnotthebugs #floridacrackertrail A post shared by Sara | RV Travel in the US (@thelonglongroad) on Feb 10, 2020 at 10:09am PST
