Everglades Seasonings View this post on Instagram Perusing the shelves at the Hammock Inn Camp Store, I spotted a selection of Everglades Seasonings. That triggered my memory – I'd added the factory to my must see map, and it was literally at the end of the road leading out of the park. Why not go right to the source?! I did 😃 • • Created by a local US Military Mess Sergeant to combat the bland food rations during WWII, he took his seasoning production commercial when he returned home to LaBelle. Switching the unofficial "Monkey Dust" moniker to Everglades Seasoning, central Florida has been cranking out the good stuff since 1976. • • The gift pack was an exceptional deal, so I bought the last one off the shelf. They also offered me all sorts of little sample packs. The seasonings can be purchased online – if anyone is interested in trying out their range of offerings, drop me a DM. If I haven't run out, I'll send you a mini 6-pack to try out the next time you're smoking a gator (or any other, less exotic meats 😉). Not the big pack, to be clear – that one has an intended recipient! • • @evergladesseasonings #madeinflorida #eatlocal #supportlocal @shopsmall #spices #rubs #seasonyourmeat #beenaroundawhile #LoveFL @visitflorida #floridacrackertrail A post shared by Sara | RV Travel in the US (@thelonglongroad) on Feb 5, 2020 at 5:40pm PST
