Lighthouse Trails View this post on Instagram You may have caught, in my #ImpactDay post yesterday, my complaints about the cold and wind hindering my cleanup. You may also recall my post from the day prior, mentioning that both Herbie and I were melting in the heat? I have discovered, first-hand, that if you don't like the season in Texas, you just have to wait 12 hours. 🥵🥶 • • I awoke to muggy temps, with all my windows open in an attempt to keep us cool under the bridge. We met for lunch, comfortable in t-shirts, seated on the patio. Fast forward an hour, I took one step out of the RV with the dog, did an immediate about-face, added two layers, a scarf, and a beanie, and tried again. It was still BITING! Managed a few minutes outside to pick up some junk and snap a few pics before my fingers went numb. This is Lighthouse Lakes Park. Great views, including the Aransas Pass (Lydia Ann) Light waaaaay over there! Plenty of dolphins and pelicans, too, begging for photographs – I'll dig out my proper camera before heading back. • • #aransaspass #citypark #lighthouselakes #wateraccess #trails #picnic #onawarmerday #dolphins #pelicans #fishing #lighthouse #traveltexas #homefortheholidays #floridabound A post shared by Sara | RV Travel in the US (@thelonglongroad) on Dec 18, 2019 at 6:28pm PST
