Lake Corpus Christi State Park View this post on Instagram I thought about stopping to do a bit of work at a picnic area on I-37, but it wasn't much to look at. Why not use my Texas Parks Pass at Lake Corpus Christi to give myself a better backdrop? • • I found exactly what I was looking for at "The Castle", a 1934 CCC Pavilion with a couple of shade trees. They couldn't keep me cool for very long – just long enough to get a few updates posted, honestly. It was another hot one. Herbie agreed to a walk through the structure, and a look at the lake from the old overlooks. We even spotted a little wildlife, bobbing around in the waters below 🐢 The friendly park staff at the gate hooked me up with all the info I'll need if I opt to camp here when I return to the area. Looks like a great spot! • • @texasparkswildlife @lakecorpuschristi #thecastle #ccc #shadetrees #walkthedog #foraminute #greatsignal #turtlesighting #traveltexas #homefortheholidays #floridabound A post shared by Sara | RV Travel in the US (@thelonglongroad) on Dec 17, 2019 at 5:34pm PST
