Choke Canyon State Park – Campground View this post on Instagram Mornin' 🌞 I took Herbie on a walk and saw MY FIRST (not dead) JAVELINAS!!!! I've been driving the Southwest for four years, venturing into the Big Bend back country, stopping at Javelina Rock in Saguaro, detouring to any place with Javelina in the name…I've seen plenty of the road-killed variety, but no living, breathing, walking, feeding ones. Until now. Thank-you Choke Canyon SP 😁😁 • • Having Herbie with me, and the pack/herd/family/group of about 25 Javelinas having babies amongst them, we didn't venture too close. I know they're pretty vicious, vile critters, but with heads far too big for their bodies they're kinda cute. • • #javelinas #afirstforme @texasparkswildlife #chokecanyon #peacefulnight #greatmorning #eatingacorns #keepyourdistance #watchthedog #traveltexas #homefortheholidays #floridabound A post shared by Sara | RV Travel in the US (@thelonglongroad) on Dec 17, 2019 at 7:30am PST
