Falcon State Park View this post on Instagram Falcon Lake straddles the US-Mexican border. As such, there are some expected warnings posted. While I didn't venture out onto the water, I felt perfectly safe at the park overnight. My only discomfort was caused by Mother Nature, who thought it'd be a hoot to drop the temperatures 30 degrees in a few hours, sending a healthy serving of wind directly across my path. We dawdled at the park, waiting for the worst of the gusts to pass, even venturing out for a walk to the butterfly garden in the chilly breeze. Lovely to still see pops of colour around in December, especially with the overcast skies. 🦋🌸 • • @texasparkswildlife #falcon #butterflygarden #dam #lake #border #hellomexico #mothernature #drasticdrop #brr #southtexas #whoturnedofftheheat #traveltexas #homefortheholidays #floridabound A post shared by Sara | RV Travel in the US (@thelonglongroad) on Dec 12, 2019 at 9:40am PST
