Wauchula – Main Street

Wauchula is a Main Street town, and it shows. I'm discovering that many well-supported small towns have a few things in common (besides residents who actively work to promote and support their little corner of the world). Small public parks along the downtown stretch (sometimes with fountains 😊), nicely landscaped streets with ample, close-to-the-shops parking, strategically placed, easily identifiable wayfinding signs, notices of activities designed to draw people into the heart of town, walking tours with informative plaques at important locations, the town's history on display, a streamlined look/logo throughout the business district, and, if you're really lucky, wall murals 😍 It was a Saturday, so I missed the CoC and Main Street Assoc again, but we did have a lovely urban stroll to offset all of our recent natural hikes. • • @visithardee #wauchula @visitwauchula @mainstreetwauchula #smalltownpride @floridamainstreet #lovelystroll #walkthedog #LoveFL #floridacrackertrail
