Manatee Village Historical Park – Herbie

View this post on Instagram

Proof Herbie was loving the grass and cooler temps! I also realised that, despite this being an historical village, I still managed to find the courthouse and post office. Sorta. The courthouse building is the oldest surviving building built as a courthouse in the state (not bad considering it's wood). The post office was more remnants and memories than an actual building. Love seeing the Post Office boxes if I can't see the whole thing, and the PO quilt square was part of a magnificent work done by a 102-year-old local resident. She wanted to capture all the spots in the area with historical significance, and did an amazing job. (Facebook folks, you're getting some bonus 360-degree shots from around the park.) • • @manateevillage #historicalpark #dogfriendly #shady #postoffice #courthouse #theyreeverywhere #quilt #quilting #dogslife #traveldog #grasslover #bradenton #LoveFL #floridacrackertrail
