I'm not sure how they do it, but, wow!, these corn fritters are absolutely amazing 😋 Deep fried creamed corn? Melt in your mouth yummy! • • The Pioneer Restaurant shows up on a couple of "Florida Cracker Cuisine" lists. What is Florida Cuisine? Honestly, I can't put my finger on it. Southern, I suppose. And nothing says Southern like deep fried *anything* and a vat of sweet tea. Good, strong tea that managed to keep the sugar to a respectable level. I went for the grilled breakfast ham and cheese sandwich thanks to some rave reviews, and it was, indeed, magnificent. The dinners on the menu all looked to be a bit much for me, but it you like hearty food, you'll be in for a treat. Especially if you like chicken – any part of the bird.
